anybody ever heard of a hub stripping out? it happened to a guy on a V force at the iron man. it took me and my friends the better part of an hour to get him up the hill. its the first time i ever saw it happen but the last thing i need is to have to buy new hubs and an axle, know what i mean

I've seen it happen to several Polaris's. Keep you hub nuts tight everybody!!!!

it happend to my friend on his 400. keep ur hub nuts tight and it wont happen.
i hate it when my nut fall off...and strip my hubs.

Happened in the dunes in New Mexico on my 300ex. It was a result of loose hub nuts over time had wore the spline gears so bad that when it spun it sheared the cotter pin. The nut spun off in the sand (found it 45 min. later). We used a key chain ring as a cotter pin and limped back over a mile to the truck. Wasnt too expensive of a fix check ebay
i got a stock axle for $65.00
and good used hubs for $25.00 each
