Anyone have one? (I'm looking at teh ones where you can install the battery inside.)
Any tips on install, or recommendations as to which one to get?
Any install pics?
Thanx.

I got a UM install was a lil bit of a PITA w/ the rear battery bolt bein to long and hitting a portion of the subframe. we had to cut down the bolt a little bit. The battery cables they give you in the kit seem a little to short. and the hole for them to go through make for a very tight fit. do yourself a favor if u get this box just be prepared to buy some longer + and - battery cables or make ur own. drill out the hole some more or just drill another hole and run a cable through each hole. It just seemed more time consuming to install than it shoulda been.
Its great quality. I hear all kinds of people buyin those cheap ebay ones and they break and the tabs fall off. Im overall very happy w/ my UM air box. It was an aftermarket box so what can u expect but a few things to have to be modified to work.

Thanx IMZ.
I think the battery location is horrible in stock form.
Do you run in wet / muddy areas, and do you find your filter cover to be enuf?

The battery location is horrible, it irritated me so much when everytime i put my rear fender on the battery was in the way causing me a lilttle grief. Thats one of the main reasons i got my air box.
I run through alot of river bed, mostly sand though, i encounter the occasionial mud but not much. I feel pretty comfortable riding through water w/ it. I was in some water a few weeks ago, 3/4 the way up my blingstar cross bumper and i made it through w/o so much as a sputter.
For my dusty condions my K&N and outerwear were not enough. I would occasionally see a lilttle bit of dust in my air boot so i switched over to a UNI so im not sure how that will work out as of yet b/c i havent rode w/ it at all since install. Just depends alot on your conditions i think.

Does havin the battery in the front have any adverse effects on handeling or jumping, of which being good or bad?

I honestly couldn't tell you yes or no. I moved the battery when I got all three shocks, aarms, and other things. It feels fine in the air and I can still come down on my rear tires if I need to. It was a cheap and easy cosmetic upgrade.
