Will 05 or newer 400EX fit in Ranger bed?

I'm looking at getting a used 400EX and want to know if they will fit in a Ford Ranger regular 6' bed? Can I close the tailgate?

If anyone has pics of a 400EX in the bed of a Ranger, I'd be glad to see some pics so I know how much extra room I have for gear, ramps, etc.

it should, my 400ex fits in the bed of my s-10, as does my 450r. i can also close the tailgate with both. my pa in law has a ranger with a stepside and i don't think they would fit in that though...
lonestar_r has a ford ranger that his 450r fits into the bed...the 400ex is not as wide or long as the 450r

i know he don't have any pics of the 450r in the ranger...you should be able to close the gate on a 6' bed...that is all the longer my bed is and it closes

Mine is 50" wide all the way around and it fits in between the fender wells on my 03 f-250 super duty....

had my 400ex in my buddies ranger and it fit perfect.. i dont have any pic.. but his was a late 90's ranger.. it would just fit.. we jus had to roll over the wheel wells..

it does in both beds but with the step side bed the place where the tailgate meets the bed is a tight squeez. found my self in the bed lifting it over that section everytime.

itll fit, enough room for a dirtbike too, tailgate shuts with just the quad. theres room for all the gear.

Mine fits with the tailgate closed. But you have to lift it over the wheel wells which sucks

Yup. A 400EX will fit perfectly with the tailgate closed. The only problem I have is the width. You have to drive one side up over the wheel-well because it won't fit inbetween. No big deal though. I just have to wait on getting wider a-arms & an axle on my 400 or when I get a 450 until I get a trailer.

Thanks for the pic! It looks like there would be plenty of room for ramps under the 400 and maybe some additional room around the side for a cooler and duffle bag?

There shouldn't be a problem, I can fit my Predator in the bed of my Ranger, and it's a little wider than the 400ex, so you should be fine.

ride_red666 that is some nice packing and i thought getting a yz250f and my 400 in to a 5X8 trailer was a feat.

Yeah my ramps fit perfectly under the quad in-between the tires. I don't have nerfbars yet so there is a good amount of room on the sides in between the front and rear tires for a gear bag, helmets, cooler, whatever.
