My friend has an eton 90 I believe it is a viper. I was helping him tune the clutch on it. I noticed that his side case was looked the same as my Kasea Skyhawk 50 and 90. There is one slight difference though...there are some holes in with some sort of foam filter inserts.
Two questions..
1. Are the sidecase compatible between the Kasea and Eton?
2. How necessary are these cutouts? And why the Kasea doesn't have the same setup.
Thanks in advance.

The cases are the same. Why Kasea has a closed case i dont know. The case cut outs are to let air in to keep the clutch cool. Kasea is to maybe keep out any water or debris from getting in there. Our kasea is closed because of racing XC. We have a cross over tube from the one side to the other to allow fresh air in and a vent coming out the back of the case up to the battery box. Works great.
