Right now i have a yz426 motor in my quad. Is a cr500 motor more power full?

Your compairing two totally different engines on that one. Compairing them will have pros and cons each way, what are you looking to do with it? MX, drag race, play ride?

cr500=Vibration and about 60hp stock

i agree with justin...

the yz426 powerplant is a more mx based motor with alot of low end grunt

the cr500 seems to be more of a scremer on the top end and a better hill shooting bike motor

they were never a screamer in a solo, all bottom end, ride em round in 1 gear all day. You can tune any motor for whatever power you want but cr500's are all grunt stock.

The CR 500 is much more powerful, however the 426 would have much more useable, rideable power. Espically for woods riding, it all depends on what your using it for, but i would stick with the yammi motor...

I have done a few 250 bike motors, in Quads and the problem is always vibrations, Breaking welds and frames, I would stick to the 4-stroke or go back to an atv based motor and big bore it. Lt500? 330R?

the simple answer is that the cr500 will kill the 426 in every way. it will vibrate though.
