Raptor Choke Carb Problem

My raptor was running fine, except I had to keep choke half on. One day I went out to start up, quad won't run. I tried and tried to start, nothing. One way bearing went out, replaced that, and bought a carb rebuild kit. I am sure I need it, seals where in bad shape inside carb. Problem I have now is the choke........
I can't get the choke cable out of the carb, and it looks very dirty and the cable seems to be locked up.
How do you get the cable out, and clean that area up???
