Gas tank on our 300ex is leaking. dont trust JB weld, tried that on other things, sometimes it lasts, sometimes it doesnt. Could buy a used tank off ebay for $76, but may have the same problem down the road, would like to go with a plastic tank.

any one have any experience with IMS or Clark gas tanks? found some in a catalog, IMS is $200, Clark is $160. will the stock fender plastic and tank cover go on over them? Any other plastic tanks out there?

get the IMS. Its a 3.1 gal tank. thats almost .5 gals more than stock. It doesnt fit with Maier plastic but the OEM fits. THe clark is the same size as stock.

Yea the gas slowly eats the jb's weld untill it starts seeping through.

bought a plastic tank made by Clark. was a tight fit going on, but fit under the stock fenders and gas tank cover ok. was $30 cheaper than IMS tank, and it was oversize and would stick up higher.
