My cable is to long... Need help quick!!

I got rid of my big black blob today on my bars and tried to install ASV clutch lever but the cable is about 1-1 1/4" to long.. is this normal do i have to get a new cable or how can i fix this.

There should be another adjuster down by the engine that you can use to adjust the slack. This was on my YFZ I havent looked at my LTR but i think the cable should be about the same

There is another adjustment, its down the cable about 8 inches from the end that goes to the clutch perch. You have to slide back the covers, and you'll see a nut you have to loosen. Then you just twist the cable and it makes the sleeve longer. You'll see what I'm talking about when you find the adjuster in the cable.
