What does the 440 really do to a 400?? I was wondering because my friend (Ruby Soho) just bought a 400 with a 440 kit in it already..

I was just wondering if it was a true 440cc , then i heard it was just like adding 6-9ccs on the motor itself.. But i do kno that it makes more power out of the engine.

Like i said, im jsut couious to see what it really does..

its like 436cc or something close to that i believe

a good bit....lot more than 6-9cc's

It turns your 400ex into a "TORQUE MONSTER"

At 440 , is there more Torque than a standard 450 trx ?

Is there just something about this Mod that suits the Motor to a Tee or is it more a combination of Increasing the bore and then Lifting the compression That causes such a fat jump in the torque ?

This modification is not done a lot in South africa as most people Question Reliability of an Engine after it has been opened , but I Notice it is rather popular in the states . Probably cheap too I guess .
If this Mod proves worthy (even 416 or 426 ) i will seriously Consider it.

my 426 at 10:1 with a stage 1 cam, (pipe, and filter of course)was a completely different machine

and now my 440 at 11:1 with a stage 2 and some valve and port work is, day and night to the 426, i loved it stock but i love it more with my new motor
