i have a 2002 400ex and when i ride in first i can let go off the bars and give it no gas and it won't die my friends does the same thing is this normal. i rode for about 100ft without touching the gas

your idle is probably high. mine does the same thing if its just a straight away(no uphill) its not bad or anything...i dont think.

mine would run off the idle bone stock, doesn't run foast or uphill or anything, but it'll run.

nothing to worry about, its perfectly natural!!!

Perfectly normal. My 04 F-150 5- speed does it, just not good on the clutch on somexzsssthing that size.

It is a little hard on the motor. Nothing major but low rpm is harder on the motor than high rpm.

It's harder on the clutch than the motor

I don't see how it would be hard on the clutch. It's just got a high idle therefore giving the egine enough gas at idle to run. If that was true then it would be hard on the clutch just driving slow in 1st easing on the gas.

Going slow theirs less stresson the clutch plates. The harder you ride the harder it is on the clutch plates. But draging the clutch is bad.
