Hi,
I have a 2000 400ex and I was riding it the other day in the mountains, and noticed that both my high beam headlights quit working. I tapped on the headlight housing with my hand and they both came back on. The only other thing I noticed was that my inline blade fuse for the starter from the battery blew after I shut the quad off, and I had to replace it. It had a 15 amp fuse in there, but I put a 20 amp fuse back in. What is the stock fuse size for the starter 15 amp? I would really like to fix the problems with it before the weekend, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

P.S. I checked the head light plugins and they seem to be fine. What else should I look at? The wiring in the headlight/engine shutoff switch on the handlebars?

Check the bolts on the battery. Ther neg has been known to come lose. I think that it is a 15 amp. check your manual.
