exactly what the title says, is it with this side touching the intake side? or other way around

I cant remember and the piston top is beat up, and my new one is not marked, and since i took it out, i cant remember which way.. thanks

Check on the under side of the piston. The hole on the piston goes towards the intake.

Ya, we're looking at the intake side of a 87-89 piston.
