if you're running 18" rear tires, i would suggest running the stock front (15t) and a 36t rear sprocket. it's a nice setup for mx. with a 14t + 18" rears, you are running a super low gearing and you might not like it.

14 tooth sprockets only work good with big tires,,,18 inch tires and 14 tooth sprockets go together like fire and water..

Razorback hit the nail on the head..15/36 and 18 inch tires is an awesome setup..

whats a good setup for XC? i got a 14th with stock in rear and 20in tires and it seems pretty good right now. What do you reccomend?

I'd leave it the way it is cheif..
