THAT WAS THE DUMBEST ST*T I HAVE EVER HEARD I DONT KNOW WHAT SPORT QUADS THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT (HOLD THE CLUTCH GAS IT TO 3/4 THROT THEN POP THE CLUTCH) ALMOST ALL THE SPORT QUADS IVE RIDIN WOULD JUST SPIN THE TIRES TO MUCH TO DO A GOOD WHEELIE AND THIS CRAP
1. Honda FourTrax 400EX
2. Honda FourTrax 300EX*
3. Yamaha Blaster 200*
4. Kawasaki Mojave 250*
5. Honda Recon 250*
6. Suzuki QuadSport LT80*
7. Yamaha Banshee 350***
8. Yamaha Warrior 350*
9. Kawasaki Lakota 300*
10. Kawasaki Bayou 220 *
NO WAY THESE ARE BETTER WHEELIERS THAN MY Z400 ONLY THE 400EX IS THE ONLY ONE ABLE TO COMPARE

what was the first year of that Z?

Posted by: JAYKNIGHT

good point i didnt look to see the date of it- good point

no prob mang. i don't agree with that how-to either tho. 3/4 throttle on my quad, and it'd be on the grab bar... and i'd be on my butt.

but it prolly made more sense 6 years ago, lol.

popping the clutch on a 400? yeah thats not a very good idea unless you want your quad on top of you lol

its all about brake control fellas

yes, i clutch them up.... on everything. my 400ex, my 600RR and my fiddy.

if you can't clutch it up, you got no control. trust me, i've been doin this for a little while now...

hmm i never clutch it. i just rev it and pull back a little and it goes up like a charm. i clutch it everyone once in a while while in like 5th or something but i think it ****ed up your engine so i dont do it. i would do it more but idk if it does **** your engine up or not...can anyone tell me if it does?

popping your clutch will wear it out alot faster and clutch is not all there is to control useing your weight/position and the power of the motor to balance is more about control then anything, i can pull wheelies in all gears but fifth whitout the clutch and ride forever without touching the rear brake

I don't think it will dramatically decrease your clutch life...my 400ex is a 2000, and has a harder life than most (as far as cluthing wheelies and etc...), and I'm still on my stock clutch.

Also, I agree and disagree on the clutching issue. I only use the clutch from a dead stop....at speed I don't think that there is any need for it.

hehe.. yes it was.. i have that issue.. BTW.. nice bike.. what kind is it.. honda RR??

they need to upgrade it..the z is definatly a good wheelie machine and so is the 06 250ex due to the sports clutch..and the shee at 7? er..not really sure on that one, i hear they are horrible for wheelies though i havnt tried with one..

for me on my 400ex my tires spin wayy too much to pop the clutch but it hasnt been too dry lately, i just start going half speed in a gear then go to full throttle and pull hard, or if im wanting to do a stationary one i put my foot on the bar and lift. on my ole 250 it was very easy to do a wheelie period. i guess if mine wont do it on dry groud it will on pavement for sure but my tires are pretty bald like 40% tread left and i know that makes a difference..

i didnt like it to much.. but gave me and understanding about wheelie's... most people that are new to wheelie's dont use the clutch and brake when the wheels are in the air..
