i cant change my grips ive had new grips but the black thing at the grip it doesnt unscrew on the handlebar help it starts to strip

i had the same problem with my grips i could get one of them off but i couldnt get the other if u get it to stripped out u can always drill it out and buy a new screw

Just put some vise grips on the end (black piece) and whack it with a hammer. It chews them up a bit but they will be out.

I had the same thing happen when I put my hand guards on. There is a rubberpiece wrapped around a metal insert to stop it from spinning in the bar. If you use a screw driver and place it between the black piece and the bar you can pry it out a ways and then grab it with some pliers once the metal piece is exposed and pull. Have someone else hold the other side of the bar because you will pull the atv you have to pull so much. But it will all come out and you can put it back. The metal pieces and the rubber are weights and dampeners to stop vibration in the handlebars. So I would put them back because it does make a difference I tried it. Hope that helps.
