i just wanna know so im trying to get the best opinion out there between 04 and 07 450r's which year is the best make i heard 04's but i want some more opinions thanks guys!

06/07 are faster 04 had bearing problems, e starts on 06/07 give people fits.

the 04/05 turn sharper,

generally the later the year the more advanced the atv.
example: all the 250r's where respectable but the 88/89 where the best years.

like I said "generally"

its like they build a totally bad arse car/boat/atv etc.
then scale it back about 4 knotches and upgrade each year until they get to where they started lol.

good point whichthe only difference between 06/07's are the fraem and plastics rigth??

07 has less travle in rear by .3"
1" shorter wheel base
.4" lower seat height
.2" less ground clearance
the frame/plastic color changes

the diff. are not much (nothing like the changes from 05 to 06)

most anyone will be very impressed with any of the new 450's

From what I have seen on this forum people claim the 04 and 05 can be made quicker. Supposedly DASA gets alot of power out of the older motor. who knows. All I know is my 04 runs great never had any problems yet

I don't have an 04 and 07, but I do have an 05 and 06. Here is my take....

I like the way my 05 handles better, but my 06 blows it away in performance in basically every aspect. Personally, I think that the newer models are much better all around quads. Just my nonbiased opinion.

so if someone wanted a 450 they would wanna go 07 because it is the better one because its the newest in years??

The 07 is nearly the exact same bike as the 06. The changes are few and most are hardly noticable. Either of those bikes would be a better choice, though I would choose an 07 over the 06 given the same prices simply because of the new colors available to choose from.

pretty much.

like I said its generally the idea.

there are exceptions

you would rather have a 69 camaro than a 73 camaro.

there are other things to consider, like the 04 will be alot cheaper than a new 07

the first year of anything is generally the worst year (not saying the 04 450r is)

check the market, ride a few and see what you like, the main diff. is the motor jump in 06.
other than that they are all great atv's
