Here the brake stay is too big for the carrier and also the ring clamp is too big...WTF is this the wrong carrier or do I have to buy another brake stay?

This is a simple problem, just buy a stock brake stay. Or if you buy an aftermarket one make sure it's not for a tapered carrier.

ooh ok I didn't know a tapered bearing carrier has a different sized brake stay...i think i'll get a 450r brake setup on the rear since my rear caliper is messed up anyway.
