When I changed my oil I didnt change out the o ring that goes on the cover for the oil filter. Now its leaking there. Could that be the reason? Do yall always change that o ring or just every so often. Thanks a bunch!!

You shouldn't have to change the o-ring at each oil change unless it's damaged. Check to make sure that it is clean and not kinked up. Then make sure that you torque the 8mm bolts properly.

Pull the cover off and check and see if it's damaged. It would probably be a good idea to change it

first i would make sure the filters in right and the cover is on and bolts are torqued properly. then if not the problem change the o ring (jus to be safe) if not it still...take it to the dealer and complain.

I re-checked everything and the filter was in right and all torqued down right , I even changed the o-ring but it still leaks so I guess im just going to have to try to get a new cover. Thanks fo all the help guys!
