Best way to get rid of low end bog is very cheap....buy a 12 tooth front sprocket.
The stock is a 13 tooth. This will make you go through your gears faster.
Keep in mind that this will take away some of your over all top speed.

what setup do you currently have?

^^^ This man will steer ya towards power!!
Could be as simple as raising the compression, by using a different head gasket!!

man... i shift a lot with the stock gearing- i cant imagine dropping my front tooth to a 12...
what kind of racing are you doing? what is done to the 450? what is done to your bike? how bad are you getting beat?

I got a 12 tooth front sprocket on mine with a stock 39 rear. I have to shift 1st,2nd,and 3rd like a street bike and I mean one right after another.
But I do have 18 inch rear tires so that is why mine is like this.
I am ordering some different sprocket soon.
I also am doing the head gasket mod and just got it done tonight. Waiting on some other parts yet to ride it.
Also found out my bike is a 254. Anyone know how much overbore that is?

that puts you at about a 4th (67mm) over bore

When I first got my bike it had 13/37 gearing on 18" tires and I had to start in 2nd to get a good chance in a drag, but I had to shift waaay too much. I switched to a 20" tire and 2nd gear bogs now but the gears last a little longer. Tire size makes a huuuge difference.
