250R Carb to Airbox Boot?

I am getting a alluminum air box on the way and it does not keep the snorkel setup.

Should I keep the stock air boot from the carb to air box with that plastic bottle on the side? I think it is called a boost bottle? Could I take the plastic bottle of and put a plug in the boot or something in it.? Or should I get a different air boot since I will be upgrading to a 38 or 39 pwk carb down the road?

What boot should I use basically is the question.

Any help will be appreciated,

Thanks,

I can't tell you what specifically is going to work best, but I CAN tell you that the 86 air boot did not have the resonator chamber on it.

You want a new OEM Honda 1986 TRX 250R airboot. This part dose not have the resenator chamber (white side bottle, 87-89 R's have the bottle), and if it is new will easily slip over 38mm or 39mm carbs. Old boots shrink over time and are a pain in the a** to install. 86 TRX 250R airboot pt. # 17253-HB9-000.
