ok i just got a yfz now its a pain in the *** to start i can turn it on and it will idel and then shut off and then it will run perfect in N and then when i shift to 1st it will shut off
could this be jetting ? it has no air box lid and a K&N filter
what could be wrong with it ?

Seems to me you need to bring your idle screw up. Half turn out

its used its an 04

It's actually spelled M-a-i-n-t-e-n-c-e

Check all your electrical connections, and put dialectric grease in them.
If you mean it's dying when you give it a little throttle, make sure the clip is still on the needle in the carb. I've seen 2 of them fall off now.
