Hey guys, i just got a 38mm kehin air stryker carb, and need to know what cable to use. it came with a cable, but I can only assume its the stock 250r cable, but not sure. all i know is that when i atached it to the 400ex thumb throttle, it didnt have enough pull to lift the slide all the way open. i have a stock 250r thumb throttle or a stock 400ex thumb throttle to use. so what are my options, i need to know fast cause I need this to be working by sunday. Thanx!

If you have a 250r and a carb w/cable for a 250r, why don't you use the thumb throttle for a 250r? Since your other option didn't work it looks like your choices are limited.

darren, thanx for the reply, well, im not sure if the cable I have is a 250r cable. does the air stryker work with a stock 250r length cable? thanx!

your local auto parts store should have a cable end for your throttle cable. Use solder with flux in it to glue the new end on with the amount of slack you are looking for. By the way, the flux will take about a minute to set up on the cable, so be patient.

The stock 250R cable wont work. The PN for the cable I purchased with my AS is 17910-964-000

ESR is where I got mine and the PN i listed above is what they sent me. It is a Honda PN so you should be able to get it at any Honda Dealership.

You can use the OEM 1985 ATC 250R cable...

Don't know the part number by off the top of my head...

Also Motion Pro makes cables that will work too...
