Just ask "250EX-CELLENT" for some pointers, he has fender triming down to a science with his POCKET KNIFE.

HA HA...... I'm just teasen y'all......HE HE.......

use electrical tape and try 2 follwo the lip of the fender, hers a pic of mine

Yep, that good advise. That is how I did mine. I Spent a little while getting the tape outline even then used a hacksaw blade WITHOUT the hacksaw, and it came out very nice. Then used sandpaper to finish shaping it out. It is bestway I know of.

what grit sand paper did u use?

Posted by: on z throttle

I used 120 180 grit just to round out any sharp edges then used 220 grit to feather the rest out. Then I used some Amore-all to moisen the plasic back. Ever since then it has not turned that white-ish again .
(I tryed to load up a pic of mine but could not get it to work)

RazorbackEXRider, I never knew you were the famous Scott, that writes the TQRA race reviews. I've been reading those all season.. Nice pics too. Site looks great.

Posted by: Razorback

hey thanks for the props. being from winnsboro, i guess you're a friend of dutch and daniel? i've missed the past two tqra races, so i haven't been able to write a report. did you go last night?

Posted by: DEAL

Did mine yesterday with a jig saw. Turned out nice! I'm really happy with the results.

u used a torch and melted the sides, its really smooth and isnt any other shade of black than the rest of the quad

Posted by: MX26

Yeah, I'm associated with the 2. Heh... Dutch.. We call him Skreech(next time you see him, note the resemblence from Saved by the Bell).

I didnt make it out last night. Wish I could've though. I miss it. Be back in action soon.

i used a marker to get my lines a roto zip spiral saw and a grinder then some fine grit sand paper to smooth it up

Just wondering, why do yall (or any one) cut the fenders? doesn't all the dirt/ mud/ water fly up all over you?

Posted by: on z throttle

The reason I shaved mine off is because ever since I saw one liked that years ago, I thought it looked "trick" and I really liked it. And still do!

I does splatter some more mud on you then normal, but I really don't like riding in mud wholes anyways. I just like "hauling @$$" on the dirt trails. :devil

Posted by: 99_400EX

i only did it because there was e melted places in the front fenders from where the previous owner got too close to someones 4 wheeler and the fact that i had just bought new fenders but i like it so well that the new fenders might have to get trimed a little too

Posted by: phatswinn

the more dirt the better, it makes it mroe fun it ya get muddy, and y dont hit stumps uin the woods and take the nets of ur nerfs
(like i did cuz i didnt see a stump)
