Anyone know what the rider weight recommendation is for a 250. Like is it for riders under 200lbs etc... Also, anyone know the top speed of the 250. My son is asking for this model, and was wondering if it would be a good fit for him. Thanks.

Is your son asking for the 250R, or the 250ex. The 250R's were only made in the late 80's and are REALLY fast if you want them to be. I think you are talking about the 250ex.

hi i just bought a new 2005 250ex and the weight should be around 200lbs u can go over... it goes pretty fast but you can also get upgrades after a wile the 250ex is more for trails and for speed but not aas fast as a 250r and how old is your son?

i can't believe a 250ex is in the same sentence as a 250r or planet for that matter

nothing wrong with a 250ex....i love to ride my girlfriends 250ex though trails and mud....any ATV is fun....hope your son enjoys his new quad!
