2006 KFX 80 need ooomph!!

Just bought a new KFX 80. The dealer removed the exhaust gov, but it is still dog slow!! What else can I do?? My wife can't seem to get up hills that in my opinion should be passable. I see other mini quads where we ride that seem to work much better... Except for the exhaust resrictor, what else is there??? My old Yamaha Big Wheel 80 was faster than this thing!

The carb restrictor could still be in there. Unscrew the carb top and see if there is a brass ring in there. If so, remove it. It stops the throttle from moving as far as it should.

The Carb restrictor is gone. However, I pulled the Exhaust pipe only to find that the dealer did NOT pull the governor as they said they did. I guess if you want it done right, do it yourself.

Authorized dealers are not permitted to remove the exhaust restrictors here in Washington. Don't know about your area.
