Has anyone done any motor work to their outlaw 500 yet? I was just curious, as theres been some discussion about it, if there was any problems going big bore with it. I heard that the cv joint would break under that load (speculation).

I'm 100% sure that the 499cc Fugi HO motor in your outlaw is the same motor in the tLD predator. I have reshimmed my TLD predator, thats about all the work I have done. Sorry I can't answer the CV Joint issue.

I have a tld pred with a 558/ cams/ nc carb and more...my brother like my quad but likes the irs of the outlaw better. With that being said hes a little brother and wants to be competitive or faster than me. I was more curious if the drivetrain could handle the additional load.

The new outlaw 525 uses all the same parts as the 500 outlaw from what i hear. Now if they beefed up the CV Joints, I don't know. Maybe someone with a little more info could help you out. I would think you would be ok with a little more HP.
