Taking off the axle 300ex 2001

How would i go about taking off the axle on a 300ex 2001?

My friend is asking me how to do his and i have no idea so i figured i would ask on the forums to help him out some.

He is replacing his bearring carrier

You mean the rear axle right. I'm sure its the same on all models.

you have to put rear on blocks or a jack stand
take off both wheel hubs
take off chain and sprocket
take off the brake assembley
undo the nut that tightens the axle, slip it off,(remove the clip)
then pull the axle out.

Good luck it took my buddy about 20 minutes to do all of that.
