I know how much you all hate Yamaha's, but Im really wanting a quad. A local dealer said that he would let me have a 2001(Im pretty sure) Raptor for $4200, or a 2001 Warrior for $3600. Those are both starting prices. Im sure I could get them for a little cheaper. Are these good deals? Thanks.

The Raptor's price went to $4100, sounds like a good deal. But I still havent gotten to look at it. We'll see!

The Raptors price is good. Won't find them a lot cheaper than that. Sounds like the guy is willing to deal too.

The Warrior price is a bit high...but I have seen higher for sure. Personally I wouldn't give more than $3400 for it if it was mint.

2001 raptors have tranny problems , dont they?? and other problesm that were addressed in the 02, all i have heard is to stay away from the 01's, but for 4100 im sure you can just get the 02 update and still save a few hundred bucks

not only the 01 tranny but also the carbs blow off, axle is a toothpick, and one way gears grenade faster than rosie o'donnell can suck down a box of twinkies!

Im almost afraid to get it. I dont have much $$$ either. I would like a 400EX (probably 300 though). My friend got a 2001 300EX w/ Cobra exhaust for $2800. That seems pretty good to me. If I could come across one like that, I might could get a quad. Oh well

I would steer clear of the 2001 Raptor for sure. Unless money is not an issue to you and you happen to be really mechanically inclined don't get the Raptor. I think you could get a 400EX for close to the same money as the Warrior, and I think the 400EX is a much better machine. The Honda also will be more adaptable to things you might want to do later, and you would also not outgrow it as fast as the Warrior. Also the Honda is a bullet-proof machine. It will be more reliable than about anything you will find. just my two cents.....

I agree with you completely. Money IS a problem. Thats why I dont have one right now!! Theres not many 400EXs for sale here, and the ones that I find are like $4000. Id rather buy a new one.

keep looking you can find a good 400EX for about 3800 or 4000
and it might have a bunch of mods already on it.

Ill try! I have had a 300EX at my house since Sunday. I have been riding it alot, and gotten really good on quads (I usually ride dirt bike). That makes me want one even more. Im 15, so Im thinking a 400EX would be better than 300EX. But I dunno.

My parents decided that couldnt spend that much $. So, I decided to start looking for better deals. I have found 2 quads, a 91 Quadracer 250 for $1800. And then I found a 2000 400EX w/ "lots of accessories" for $2700. Are these alright? I really want a quad!!!!

Dude, get that 400EX. Unless it is really thrashed buy it. Make sure you offer less than what they are asking. The stock suspension on the 400EX is not the best, but it should be worlds better than the Quadracer. Go get it dude....

If you want PERFROMANCE go with the Quadracer 250 but if you want DENPENDABILITY go with the 400ex. That Suzuki will smoke the sh@t out of that 400 in a race, but it depends on what "accessories" it has i guess.

quad racers are nice i want one if i see a good deal liek tants but he is aways away from me........
