hello, can i use a 86 cdi with a 89 wire harness, because honda had discontinued 86 wire harness
What are the differences between 86 and 89

I am pretty sure the CDI plugs on all years are the same. The only difference with the 89 harness is the stator plug is different, 86 - 88 are all the same. My 86 250r has a 88 harness and everything plugged right in, i just do not use the connectors for the key switch, as the 86 did not have a key.
