ok so i got the old 87 250x back on the trails today, after waiting a week for sprockets. i was cruising up an old dirt road and the rear end started wobbling on me. i stopped and looked at it and there was smoke barreling out of the holder.. bearings are cooked.
it damaged my tightener thing a little bit, but it should be ok.
i called my local honda dealer and it'll be $62 EACH for bearings and $15 each for seals.. thats bloody ridiculus!
anyone know where i can get them cheaper? rockymountainatv have kits for like $36 but they dont ship to canada.

You can also get Moose, etc.. rebuild kits from most suppliers like Dennis Kirk, Rockymountain ATV, C&D, etc.... A lot cheaper than factory.

yeah and they are really good qualitly. Acually Colby always sends me the moose instead of the OEM because he believes they are the same or better than the OEM. Im using Moose in my steering stem and axle bearings.

well my dad went out while i was at work and used my card to buy the 62$ ones.. 180$ later.. its on the road again.. but my carrier isnt in very good shape.. the bearings were embedded right in the carrier.. so by the next time they go, i'll be shopping for a new carrier. maybe i can find a deal online somewhere.
