I was wondering if anyone has been to ride at Bucks Run Atv park in bedford ky? I went last weekend and thought that it was a pretty good place to ride. I was wondering if anyone else had an opion about the place?

Posted by: jonboy

Never heard of it. Where exactly is Bedford? I wouldnt mind checking it. How big is the riding area? Does it cost anything?

Posted by: jdenny400ex

Bedford is out toward henry county down 71 like you were goin to oldham county, the place is on a 300 acre farm. there are a lot of trails and a half way decent track. it costs 20 dollars to ride. its not that bad, i lik it bc its not that far to go to ride from where i live.

Posted by: ride red 14

i ride there sometimes but 20bucks is kinda expensive dont yah think?? its not a bad place to ride tho

Posted by: jonboy

I'll have to check it out some time.

Posted by: jdenny400ex

yea i do think that it is kind of expensive, $20 bucks and the place aint that big, but one thing is that it is close to where i live. Any one been to the new place down by rough river, i would like to know more about it.

Posted by: ride red 14

turkey bay and paddys bluff? never heard of it?

Posted by: jesshamner

LOL....I think you all need to try www.kentuckyriders.com It seems like you all, collectively, are out of the loop.

Are you serious about Bucks Run having a track worth riding? Even when the guy was prepping it from time to time it wasn't that good.

Posted by: ride red 14

the dirtbike track was fun but then he took it away from the quads

He must have been moody about that. I had been there several times and I rode the track every time. A few times before the I heard that quads weren't allowed on the track, and a few times after I heard that.

Actually, I would think the opposite. Turkey has been around a lot longer.

true but paddy's is much better rideing, i dont know much about turkey only been there once, but paddys has always been a communitive area around here, alot of people ride at turkey but they hate their rules but i think a few changed. just no one mentions turkey much anymore

I just got back fro riding at Backwoods and it was great. Plenty of variety there, hills, mud, creeks, and wide open trails. will definately go back

How big is this place?

Posted by: Shaved96

bucks run blows ***, to small, track sucks for ATV's, Like others said if your aloud on the dirt bike track it alright, but other then that the place sucks

Posted by: jonboy

It's 1000 acres. There is a 6000 sqft cabin there you could rent also. It was pretty awsome in its own entirity. So far there are 2 trail systems there. Red trail and blue trail. We spent most of the day on the blue. I spoke to the owner and he says that he is working on gettin a yellow trail that is linked between the two. Still a good days riding. Plus it is only a half hour from my house so that makes it great IMO.

1000 acres of rideing is small? :S

Posted by: Shaved96

Bucks run is only 280-300 acres. I think he was giving details on the Backwood outfitters place.

I am from Ky but live in NY at the moment for college.

My roommate is also from Bedford. Her father owns about 600 or 700 acres in Bedford and there are trails around his property. I know its nothing like the places you guys are talking about. Its mostly woods and some "sinkholes" with some rocks and creeks. Its a cool place to ride, trails arent too long. He only cleared enough to ride for about an hour, but he really did it for hunting. My roommate said that she has gone out off the trails and its cool, but just have to go slow cause theres no trails!

I am just sharing this because you guys mentioned Bedford and I've been there.

its a pretty nice place yea its kinda expensive its got 280 acres but theres really no other places close to louisville unless you wanna drive 2 hours iv went there the last 2 weekends straight last saturday they got a lot of rain 2 days before sat and it was kinda slick the mx park had a few wet spots in it to if anybody is interested in getting a group together and going let me know ill go with you guys

Posted by: hillclimbingrec

how far is this place from cincinati??

is there any sandy parts?like in the creek???

any one got any pics?is there STEEP hill's???

Posted by: outlaw11

theres a few interesting hills heres there website http://bucksrunmxpark.com/index.html its worth tryin out in my opinoin

Posted by: hillclimbingrec

hey outlaw11 have you tried the ATV track??and guessing from the photo's helmet's are not required? what's the STEEPEST hill there?

Posted by: jesshamner

ATV Track???...LOL. Its just a few trails through the woods. There are a few tight trails. The Mx track is not much of a MX track really. And to say that its a national scale mx track is a huge overstatement. Sure there are a couple big jumps but its nowhere near the national level.

Posted by: outlaw11

theres no atv track they say the mx park is only for dirt bikes but i ride on it everytime and nobodys told me to get off so i dont know and like he said its no national level just a few jumps nothing special

Posted by: hillclimbingrec

HA

i think it would be a good experice for my first time on a track.period, lol

is there anything on the trails worth going for?

Posted by: y3llow400ex

last time i rode at bucks run was about 2yrs ago. it was decent then but friends told me its a little run down since the guy had to get rid of some of his equitment due to a divorce.
