The question was..."what's the closest dunes" That would be Waynoka Ok. Now if he asked what dunes in the U.S.A can I go to then bring on Little Sahara Utah. And while were at it, bring on
Saint Anthony, North sand hill, Coral pink,Killpecker, Glamis,

Posted by: redwing310r

oops ...sorry waynoka is close just not really worth it for the ultimate experience. only 1700 acres.....suck it up and make the run. utahs like 200,000 acres!

NP, I my self would love to go to Utah for sure.

Waynoka is a great place to ride. I love it there.

There is only one reason why I dont go there and that is because it is named waynoka. I mean who goes riding at a place called waynoka Oklahoma.

You wont go because its named Waynoka but you live in YUMA?

No real need to go anywhere else if Glamis is your backyard!!

If your looking for the closest then you may want to try the badlands in attica In. I've been there once. It's about 5 hours from Hopkinsville, Ky.

St Joe state park in Missouri also has some dunes. I've never been there but I heard it's fun.

Posted by: aron450r

ahhh sweet find, thx...bout 4 hours from here im guessin, maybe less, ill have to check...

LS, OK is the closest for any dunes w/ some decent acreage.. If you want big dunes head to LS, Utah and Sa's Idaho.. Idaho really has the most top gear bowls and dunes. Glamis dunes are smaller though the riding area is waaay bigger..
