I want to know if you can drop a trx450r engine or a crf450r engine in a stock trx250r frame because all the hybrids I see have aftermarket frames. Will the dirtbike engine vibrate the quad alot? Also how much am I going to have to spend. Please help thanks.

no the motors are too tall for stock frames. if you want a 450 quad buy a 450r or and aftermarket chassis made specifically for the engine you want.

Not without some fab work. The money all depends on what you have to start with, And how nice you want it to be.
No my CRF motor don't vibrate at all. Pulls strong out of the turns.

I'm told the stock frame isnt tall enough for a crf450r motor and comparing it to my hybrid 450r, I can see it is. I would start with a frame designed for that motor, a yz450 fits into a 250r frame fine, but alittle tight, the crf motor is too tall, it is a real tight fit on my hybrid.
