250X decompressor?

What can anyone tell me about the 250X decompressor? Which side is it on? How is it activated? I see the cable on the parts finder but I can't find how it actually functions. Can someone post pictures of the mechanism? Has anyone hooked the decompressor to a hotstart clutch lever or dirtbike-type decompression lever on the clutch perch?

facing the clutch cover side of the motor, its at the top right of the cylinder head. the cable runs back to a bracket behind the kickstarter. whenever you push the kicker down watch that arm move and you'll see if its working or not. you can put it on a hot start lever though but you'll need a longer cable because the stocker just makes it to the bars
