im tryin to find out with the best tires are... i no holshots are good...but then wat size would i want? .. and any have a ruff idea of how much the hiper rims are or som peps call them beadlocks...

the current combo i an running are ITP baja rims with razr 2 tires. i had them on my 400 and now on my yfz. it is an awesome tire, grips in anything except lose sand really well. when ever i get new rims they will be hipers or some sort of beadlock. they are sold at almost any online quad shop but are pricey. i would like to try the new itp GNCC tire though.

and for sizes get a 20x10x9 or a 20x11x9. 20 is the tire height, 10 is the width and 9 is the rim height. a 10x9 is stock size and 11x9 is a little wider and what most aftermarket tires are.

Have you considered the Holeshot MXR6(for Hard packed tracks) or maybe the Holeshot SX(for soft packed tracks)?

I think you have that backwards too. MXR6 for loose tracks, SX's are for hardpack

the razr's are a great tire. i also run them on baja wheels and i love them. you wont be dissapointed.

i have mxr4's with itp baja's. i have used them for two years and they work great and dont wair as fast as the mxr6's or sx's. i have itp t9's up front and maxxis razer tires on them. there the best hanling combo i have found on my 300ex and i have had the mar4's on my dads 400 with holeshots in front and it hadled like a dream.

Ok i'm a little confused here.

Everywhere that i've read says that the mxr4's wear out super fast because they are a softer compound. The 6's are a harder compound that itp came up with because riders kept complaining about how fast the 4's wear out. Can anyone else give me some input here.

no its the mxr6's wear fast and the mxr4's are for mx racin in general. they have held up for more than two race seasons on a z400 and a 300ex.i have seen the 6's wear in one race.

Hmm.. my bad then.. and here all along i had it all screwed up.. What's the difference between razors and razor 2's.

The Razar 2's have a much more agresive tread compaired to the Razar's. I used to use razar's front and rear but i liked the 8in better than the 9in for racing. Heres a pic of the mxr4's on the z400 with itp holeshots up front.

I had holeshots for a while but now i have kenda klaws and i like them alot more. The kendas just seem to hook up better. It might just be the kind of dirt that is on the tracks around here because not too many people like kenda klaws.

That was going to be my next question. Which would be better klaws or razor 2's

razr 2 wont be good for mx you need mx razrs or some type of hole shots mabie razr2s up front
