i know the battery is dead so i jumped it, won't the battery charge itself after awhile. i ran it for a 1/2 hour and disconnected the battery i was jumping it from and it died about 5 seconds later. is the stator bad or what.....please help.....

You should check your grounds first. You may even give them a slight tug just to see if they are coming undone. If you dont find anything then get the battery tested. Do you know how old the battery is? The batteries on most quads are maint. free, and if the battery is truly dead it will not take a charge. I wouldn't go tearing into your elec. system until you can rule out the battery or faulty wires.
