Define fast.

Acceleration.
Braking.
Cornering Speed.
Lap time.
Top Speed (least important fast).

Uh, there fast I suppose.

Not sure if this means anything, but sunday at the races, I put a 20ft lead on one off the holeshot on my all stock YFZ.
I didn't look over the specifics of his quad too much, but I know he had better tires, and the baffle removed (which will really open them up) atleast. And he wasn't right behind me.

It was a concrete start, so I dunno if he spun or what, but I put the same lead off the holeshot both motos lol.

Not saying the LTRs are slow though...

Come to think of it, a YFZ pulled the holeshot each moto in a different class. He only had his baffle removed and mx tires. My buddy was on an LTR with a full Yoshi pipe, cherry bomb, airbox lid removed, and mx tires..

So, I guess the YFZs are the fastest out of all the 450s...but hey, them LTRs ain't half bad either.

...the handling is amazing for a stock machine. That's my biggest complaint right now. YFZ not wide enough!

Sorry but this is not possible unless the rider on the yfz is a better ride than your friend. Im not saying the other way, ltr is faster, but with a pipe it will be without a doubt. If that yfz just had a stock pipe there is no way it will pull the holeshot against a rider of the same experience.

I race a fully stock LTR with a KFX 400 with a Yoshi Full and we were side by side and yes the LTR rider knows how to ride. He is a excelent rider who is alot better then me. I dought the KFX goes over 73. He installed a cherry bomb and He raced a 450r with a HRC and beat him but not by much.

what wrong with ur quad down there they so slow compared to here....

today i went riding with my friend.. he had a 4x4 and i was doing around 110-115km-h on 4th gear with my 16t and w-b slipn on ex

all do around 135-140 on top end with my 4hweeler surprising but true

well maybe not exactly 87 but beated my friend 450r that make 130km-h... im the same speed as a outlaw with a k&n

110-115km-h on 4th gear to put like 20 25k-mh more

my 400ex only does 59-60 mph with 18" s in the back...i got full yoshi..k&n ...many others

My lt when it was stock got smoked by my buddys stock 450r.....not at the take off...top end jus betta

I think about 95% of the people in this thread would be better off just not posting anymore...

Top speed doesnt matter...they are an MX machine built for the track. They were not meant for a straight line drag. If you are pulling 20 quad lengths or whatever over your buddy on his lt-r...then you are just a better rider, plain and simple.

with 20inch sand tires mine went 84 mph,but the 493 trinnity lt-r does 92mph with gearing

stock 76mph (taller tires and crbm help alot)

with out mods i couldnt beat a 87' 250r with a 310 kit after mods i had about 7 quads on it.
raptors 10 quads apart no problem even if i pull up the front end the hole way.

btw...who told you i was a testorone challenged teen? I am actaully pretty self conscious about my condition and am currently taking meds for it, so if you would not bring that up again I would appreciate it.

never a dull moment...I was kind of hoping you were so I could somehow form a plan to take your LT-R for my race bike next year...and just say my daddy bought it for me...I guess that plan is gonna go down the drain though. Im alright...just got a split chin and its my first saturday at home in about 2 months...kind of nice.

Well, if it makes you feel better... I did will my LT250R to you. It is faster than the LT-R450... Though it is better in left turns...

Which reminds me, anybody have a frame for a 1992 LT250R? Now, what were we talking about? Maybe it wasn't only blood coming out of my ears over a year ago...

Not that top speed really matters but my LTR will do roughly 80mph give or take. This is with 22" fronts and 20" rears and the baffle removed.

I havent had the oppurtunity(sp?) to race the honda or yama 450 but i did race a raptor 700 and I out accelerated it and topped out faster than it.

My buddy on the LTR is the best rider I know. He normally will walk away from everyone on the holeshot...but, not this time...

you say he will usually walk away from everyone off the line...it didnt look like any body walked away from anybody there...with how you describe him and that picture, looks to me he just got a bad start. But hey..who am I to know what an LT-R will do, I've only raced one all season.

the start of a motocross race is alot more reaction time then anything..
I know people with REALLY fast bikes but just suck at starting so they never do well off the starts .. which isn't the bikes fault at all.

I found the true picture and the winning quads where cut out, and i have proff that that yfz cant pull 20 lengths if these are winning,.... and notice how culturally diverse this mx race is, i see a black and a chinese and some white, never seen it that mixed before...

I went to my friend drag race event...

result of a z 400 ltz 450 and a yfz 450 2007 all machine are stock

Take off was ltr, after yfz 450 and z 400 were tied.. with euqal riders even shiwtch riders,

Top end: z 400 by 1 and half quad lenght in front of the lt-z450 and 1 quad infront on the yfz

no booth quad are stock and rider are booth 130lbs and the rider on the ltz is better than the z 400,,,, the z passt him only when the hit 5th gear

the 450 suzuki very not fast, but for power and take off they have lots

Well there also geared for mx and the z 400 isnt. I still think the ltr450 will hit 72 for say stock and the z 400 stock around 65-68

Everyone knows that if u take the wheelie sensor off the 400's they can beat the 450's! If u can find some one to tune that wheelie sensor i think u could probally run about 130mph or so.

I saw 2 LTRs at the American MX Arenacross series in Jackson, Ohio beat the YFZs and the TRX 450s. The LTR that one the 1st 4-stroke class was pretty much stock other than tires & nerfs. It had awesome power coming out of the corners to clear the jumps with ease.
