Ok. I bought a 1997 blaster last week which is pretty much stock exept for tires and wheels. I was wondering how hard it would be to put a yz 250f motor in it. What would i need i kno motor, ignition, carb am i missing anything. Give your opinions or if you have one post pics and give me a run through on how to go about buildin it.

you would need, motor,complete wire harness,carb, custom pipe and prob need to fab up some new motor mounts.

416exmx is the only one on the site that has built one, but I get to race against them lol. Here is one and you would be better off going with a 250r or 400ex frame. This is one of my friends his dad built.

Here is what kind of damage they do on the holeshot...lol. His motor has motor work, but mine is completely stock...For now. I'm the one in 2nd. That kid on the orange one has a 352 stroker if that tells you how much faster a 250f is. I also race against 3 more of them, but this was just a heat race.

Were just lucky cory is not a great rider, and just has a fast quad. lol. But Longbons and Westhall, now thats a different story.

Lol yeah I know what you mean. Corey has so much motor mork done to his, and longbons only has a cam in his. I am sure westall has something. I am actually in 1st place in that one pic but had to pull of with 2 laps to go. I've had so many mechanical dnf's this year its getting pretty bad.

Longbons SAYS he only has a cam in his, but that little **** lies more than anyone out there. I dont listen to a damn thing he says. And Westhall's is far from stock from what I have been told. But to the kid asking the question, yes, put one of these motors in a 400 frame, or hell, even a 450 frame. They will haul.
