Will rear shock off 400ex fit 450R?

Anybody know this? It would open up alot of doors for me to find a shock!

Of course it will fit, but its not even close to being right. The 400ex rear shock is about an inch shorter than the 450R shock.

I just had a rear shock rebuilt by Santoi Derisi for my 450r. I had to have it done between races because I was gonna put my ex shock on it and race it so I could send the new one to him earlier but he said that it wouldn't work.
