anyone here ever paint their shock spring? I was thinking of useing krylon fusion since it bonds to metal and plastic and also is flexible when dry is this a good or bad idea??

Many people get them powdercoated.

so is paint a bad idea?

Posted by: Pappy

paint usually will not flex enough on springs, thats why the majority of them are powdercoated from the manufacture.

paint also has much much less resistance to being struck by the usual debris found when riding a quad, such as roost .

what does it usually cost for powdercoat, honda red.I WAS going to try the krylon fusion paint so it would be more flexible..

a full set of front springs usually runs around $35 depending on the shop.
