Has anyone ever heard of a 300ex having 400ex or z400 nefbars on them if so how can i make this work?

I have a z400 and the nerfs for a 300ex look pretty square. Don;t think your going to make it happen without a torch and a lot of time.

PS I just modded some nerfs for a 400ex I bought at a swap meet to fit my Z. Had to make new brackets and shorten the nerfs altogether. Was a sh1t load of work. Kinda wish I would had just bought the right ones. Thought this would take a few hours. Took all day!
