hi everybody....

i have my trx250r with stock engine, bored .50. i always have used 20-1 mix and use maxima castor oil. i read in other threads about this topic, and nobody uses this mix, i use it because is the one that is specified. but that doesnt mean that i'm rigth.

so, i need a recomendation, if i leave my mix 20-1 or change it to other.

I've always used 40:1 on my CR. Some folks use 50:1 with some of the high-end full synthetics...

amsoil 50.1 all stock 88 250R

or honda oil 40.1 amsoil is the best JMO

ok thanks, i'll de leaning the premix, i'll try 40-1. next time.

by doing this, will i alter the performance of my quad? would i have any problems later?

i've always ran 32:1 with klotz cause it smells good

keep in mind, a rejet might be required with the change in pre-mix. one or two lower main jets

careful, all the oils listed that people ran 50:1 or 40:1 are highend synthetics that are designed to be run this way. i have never run maxima castor oil, but you may not be able to run it 40:1 safely. i would run the maxima castor whatever it recomands on the bottle. if you wish to run 50:1 use a good synthetic thats made to run that way. i use amsoil dominator.

dont change your mix. Ive run castor 927 at 20:1 in mine for 3 years with no problems. and the castor smells so good.

i run 32:1 in all 2 strokes ive owned, 125s, 80s, banshees, 250rs and i ruun golden spectro and i havnt had any problems with them at all....i think 32:1 might be a little bit rich, but it is alot better to be rich then lean

exactly... ive been running 32:1 using yamalube in all kinds of 2 strokes for years...
