Ok, I am looking to buy a head gasket on service honda.com, and there is a different one for 86 than there is 87-89. My cylinder is an 86, and I have no idea what year my head is. Does it matter which gasket I order??

no, they are all the same. For higher compression use a 85 atc250r head gasket and for race gas requiring use a 89 cr250 gasket, for the gaskets, spray on cooper coat before and let it get tacky then install it.
