looking at my mods, would it really be worth the $$ to get a rev box? I'm probably going to port and polish soon too, that's about the only other engie work i have planned. Anyone out there that has one really notice a difference in HP? I've heard that anything over a +1000 won't really make any difference. what are some good rev boxes?

you do get more revs but its all on the downside of the power curve to they dont give any more power. they are only good if you dont want to shift as much but it isnt realy that big of a difference so consider somethinhg else. your better off spending the money on a backup set of tires or something.

thanks for the replies

that looks more like a spark curve that power curve. i have never seen a power curve like that... almost looks unridable

if you get a cdi not only does it increase your r's but it advances your ignition. the ignition advance is the bit of extra power you feel at low end, way before your original rev limiter. you can get around this by having the index mark on your flywheel advanced foreward. this will advance your timing while maintaining your rev limiter and should only cost about 45 bucks at any well equiped shop

to detail further:

The curve you see on the laptop display is the stock 450r ignition curve for WOT as HONDA programmed from the factory. I just wanted ppl to see what the factory 450r WOT ignition curve looks like and that kilabanshee has his re-programmed.

for about $50, I can upload ignition curves for each handlebar switch settings:
setting #1 is my hp ignition curve that has more retard igntion timing for top end power.
setting #2 is my torque setting that advances the ignition for low end grunt.
setting #3 is my called "both" that retards the top for hp with advance on bottom for tq.
setting #4 is stock with 10,500 reprogrammed limit.

setting #1-4 also has slightly more advance at closed throttle for easier starting, and all settings have 10,500 programmed setting
