Posted by: 400EXTRA

i have a 2004 400ex just wondering what is the best wheelie machine if you have more just post them

Posted by: pharit

i can ride a wheelie for ever on a 400ex

250x/300ex probably the next best thing, i learned how to wheelie on a 250x

Posted by: 400EXTRA

im working on it on my ex

Posted by: jd450

i like my yfz......the best? idk, never tried wheeling any other quad

Posted by: Kickstarts_Suck

EDIT JOEX-------- HELMETS REQUIRED!!!!!!

Posted by: bluebaron

I think my 450r is just as good as my old 400ex, if not better. Its just a different balance point.

You tell 'em puppy dog

Posted by: chpsk8er630

raptor 700r, wheelies no problem at all, but any quad is good for wheelies if you just practice with it.

Posted by: eaheer

I do belive the poll says it all. I have two machines, one 2005 TRX300EX which is my wheelie baby:
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/8247/ride032506034hd1.jpg
I also have a fully moded 2002 TRX400EX which I love to wheelie.
Don't have any wheelie pics with a helmet, so I will just post the bike.

anyway...i say the 400ex,300ex/250x do the best.

i agree i thought the z/clones were really good wheeliers but my vote went to the 400ex anyway

Posted by: raptordude

IMO the Raptor is the best wheelie machine I've ridden...

Posted by: Mav_KFX400

i like my KFX for wheelies. if i had a long enough straight strech i could wheelie it forever. lol
this is a pic of a one wheel wheelie i did last weekend

Posted by: bigj250

for me and 5 of my boyz the 2006 250ex is the best wheelie machine ive wheelied past 400ex the 400ex riders stop because dey say it 2 fast and the 250 ex has a perfect ballance point and wen its tapped out in fith it stays up no matter what ive wheelies about a 5 1/2 mile road here in florida i dont recomed u 2 wheelie that far because u wont get out of bed for 2 week well thats what happend 2 me my arms wer killing me so my vote goes 4 the 06 250ex

Posted by: teamhonda396x

me and my BOYZ like the 250x.it earned our vote.

Posted by: 400EXTRA

do you guys have any pics or vids

Posted by: teamhonda396x

sorry nope.

Posted by: csr250r

400ex is the best. blaster is very good for wheelies also. banshees suck *** for wheelies who ever voted for banshee is a retard

Posted by: 400EXTRA

grt some pics of you guys riding or pics of your bike.

Posted by: Honda4lyphe

06 250ex's are perfect due to the sports clutch, i can wheelie forever and the front end is very light

Posted by: Grant Casey

i think that the 400ex's r the best wheelie machine.

cheers

Posted by: Bigun55

I go with the 400 to. My YFZ is pretty good to tho. i can ride a better wheelie on my YFZ than my 400.

Posted by: krt400ex

i have rode 450rs and 400exs, 300exs, blasters, raptors(660), and z 400s. out of those i think that the 450r wheelies the best. the 400ex would come in a close second thoough. i have rode wheelies for over 200ft with mine

Posted by: 400EXTRA

yea im going out tonight because we just got our field bailed so i am going to see if i acn ride one across it its about 200 yards long

Posted by: knelson

250ex, can stop completely on it, no clutch to worry with, & it has a rear brake on the left handle bar. 400ex second for me (450r wheelies nice but it's hard to slow it down to a stop)

Posted by: NPelletier

i havnt ridden many but a friend of mine's 250ex has so much pep it is so easy to get that front end in the air that ide have to say thats pretty easy

Posted by: 400EXTRA

I learned on my banshee.... I loved it... After mastering the Banshee i learned that i could walk damn near ANYTHING. I had my Buddy follow me on his 03' R6 and he clocked my personal record of 1.9 miles.... on the shee. The Official world record is only 2.8!!! That's why i bought this 400.. now 416.. i still havgen't got to ride it yet!!!! I'm gonna smash the 2.8 record!!!!

After all the quads i've riden i'd have to say that the 40 has the largest and best balance point....

my wifes dad wheelied my 400 ex for at least 3 miles

he was once going to attempt the world wheelie record on an XR650 (I believe 209 miles)

he got on the quad rode it for about 15 min and pulled that wheelie off.

insane, he said my 400 was the smoothest hes ever been on

My vote for the 400

Posted by: Kaleigh

I find its easier to wheelie my 400ex when I took all my GoFast parts off.. I

Posted by: 400EXTRA

thats weird

it is so easyto get that front end up in the air

Posted by: 400EXTRA

oh yea

Posted by: w00dy845

damn 400ex must be the **** for doing wheelies.....
also seeing that all the cvboyz have 400ex's also..........

Posted by: Kaleigh

friends tell my the suzi400 is.. cause it doesnt stall at low speeds.. i got a 400ex love it for wheelie's.. but when doin it slow.. it likes to stall out..

Posted by: KrazyKeith

300ex w/ stock 22's and 2lbs in em~ were goin around the world on 2 wheels!!! With low air pressure its sooo easy also you can lean and turn real nice too. I beleive I could wheelie till Im out of gas if I had enough road. The 400ex is just as easy.

Posted by: 400EXTRA

when i first started about a year ago i could only do it about 10 ft now i can as long as you want me to

Posted by: jokester

400ex all the way.... if I'm going for distance I stay in third for a while, then shift to 4th... I used to stall mine all the time when I was learning to ride slow wheelies on it, but now I can keep it in one spot for a sec or two without stalling it, then slowly start moving it again..... practice practice and more practice!!!

Posted by: 400EXTRA

i love doing wheelies slow i used to stall them to got better

Posted by: 400EXTRA

wheelies are just cool!

I've got YFZ450, and wheelie is easy on it. For me yfz450 is the best stunt machine.

Posted by: jordan_400ex

i have an lt 125 1985 if any of u have ridden them they have no weight on the front at all.the gas tank is under the seat and notihng on the front....if im in 2nd gear on that and hammer it if im on the back a little itll get up easy.also for qauds or bikes that have a gas tank in the front liek normal..ive tried with a full tank and towards the end of the day when it was empty it was noticeably easier to wheelie...

Posted by: 400EXTRA

its weird you guys actually notice it

no its not. if you have a full tank your putting more weight on the front as well as the machine having a higher CG. that makes a big difference. when the tank is low, there is less weight on the front, and a lower CG

Posted by: 400EXTRA

yea but come on can you really tell the difference? i kno i dont

Ive ridden 2 of them piped and non piped. Pretty much every rumor about them is false. They are heavy, but have so much power its alright.

As for wheelies, you can ride them all day on a kfx. My unclehas one thats piped and has a clutch mod. It will stand it up at 40 with just throttle. There also VERY responsive. I thought it would be slugish because of the cvt, but not at all.

Posted by: csr250r

Most all ATCs are better for wheelies.

for quads... 400ex, 300ex, blaster, yfzs arent too bad. BANSHEES CANT WHEELIE TO SAVE THEIR SOUL unless u find pavement haha.

Posted by: 400EXTRA

iv never ridden a 3-wheeler and done a wheelie im sure its easy though

Posted by: 250r4life

i really like wheelis on my 250r and YFZ...

on my 250r leaning back and punching it in the powerband i can ride one in 5th, and can ride it for a good amount of time... in the sand with my sandstars, i can be up on the gas tank and punch it and ride one... my front end is off the ground more than it is on...

the YFZ is pretty similar to the 250r too... just punch it, and then kinda ease off the throttle and hold it to ride it...

both are very easy to bring the front end up, and you just gotta get used to holding them up there...

its been years since ive ridden a 400ex, but theyre good wheelie machines also

Posted by: whiteEX

u can pop wheelies on any machine for a long time all u have to do is find the balancing point but i especially like my 400ex

Posted by: 03raptor660r

What about the raptor?

Posted by: predatorred

i just love my predator very easy to wheelie any gear any time ..!

BTW i'm new here..
http://img81.imageshack.us/img81/843/p9020114tg8.jpg

Posted by: shftmx300ex

IMO 300ex is the best because it has a light front end, you dont need the clutch and once it is up you can keep it up

Posted by: riggsracin

what about kawasaki vforce
http://youtube.com/watch?v=l5iebBjF9g0
this is me messing around

Posted by: STUNTIN400EX

I HAVE A 400EX, AND A Z400. I WOULD HAVE TO SAY THE 400EX BECAUSE OF HOW EASY IT IS TO CONTROL. MY Z400 IS A TORQUE MONSTER.

Posted by: toddreaves04

The raptor 660 is a wheelie machine. First time I rode my brother inlaws I pulled a 1 wheel torque wheelie in 2nd not meaning to. Very weird feeling when your not expecting it. I currently have a 250x. I am up to 120 feet and have only rode it 4 times. Being this is my first sport atv I dont think thats to bad. Going home today and tring for 150 feet.

Posted by: riggsracin

The kawasaki v force is the best,it has tons of torque and power, light front end. at, so u dont hvae to cluch or gear up or down. just check out this video
http://youtube.com/watch?v=l5iebBjF9g0

Posted by: 08Honda400ex

the 400ex pops up so easily

Posted by: acline

owned a 400 ex, but now have a 700r and a kfx400/z400 the z400 needs added to the list they are even better than the honda

Posted by: krt400ex

wow....this is an old thread....i cant believe it is still alive

Posted by: bigj250

400ex r prety good cause of the balance point like doing manuals and highchairs and all that good stuff but i like fast wheelies and the power 450r i think u will go beter with a 450r

Posted by: Erics350x

my vote would be for a 350x

Posted by: mxcowboy

Posted by: mxcowboy

are you goes retarded? the 250ex is by far the best not the fastest not the nicest but the easiest and the best balanced
my 7 year old neighbor can wheelie it honestly yall

are you retarded? how long have you been on the quad/dirtbike scene? the 400ex is way easy to pull up, and it has a wide ballance point to it is easier to keep up.

ok i said the easiest it has no clutch nothing so its easier for beginners

yeah the 400ex is a awsome wheelie machine! i never said it wasnt but by far the 250ex is the easiest all you have to do is lean back and punch the gas ,

yeah the 400ex is a awsome wheelie machine! i never said it wasnt but by far the 250ex is the easiest all you have to do is lean back and punch the gas ,

i am pretty sure anyone who is good at wheelies just leans back and hits the gas. =P. jp

on my trx300ex i can cat walk forever. i got a pair of tusk v bar chains on rockymountatv for 30 bucks for 2 of em! i can wheelie all down my frozen pond. about maybe half mile? when i weelie i cat walk. i think you have the most controll. i hate people who put their feet up, i think its like cheating.

it doesent matter about the machine
for example, i do wheelie all the time with my buddies dogged out, 5 year old kazuma 150

its the rider and how much time they have had on the quad

and to remind some people, dumping the clutch is not the only way to do a wheelie

i can start my wheelies in first and put them down in the top of fourth without dumping the clutch once

Dude its not the bike that rides the wheelies its the rider! Simple as that!

yeah but youre using a clutch so yeah thats why the 250ex is easier

my kfx450 is really easy to wheelie in any gear and the power makes it alot easier to keep it up when im shifting, but i do miss my 400ex when im tryin to do low speed wheelies, it balanced so nicely

the light front end of the 400 ex or kawasaki or suzukis 400s as well make them the easiest I would say. They have plenty of power with a light front end, you would be insane to think any machine would better
