well tonight i finally got a 450, and wouldnt you know it a YFZ. its an all black 04. i know the 04s had some electrical problems and what not but im hoping it holds up. my best friend rides a 450r so im going to get a lot of crap for getting a yammie

anything i should typiclly look for? i know to check the oil screen when i change my oil, and i think thats the only 'yfz specific' thing ive found from the research ive done. once i get used to the bike and how it feels, i will do the cam mod to compare it to the power i have now to see if i like it or not.

what exactly is wrong with the 04s i never could find that in detail. i know charing issues but i thought i read up on a way to fix that, true?

any way, glad to be atop a 450 finally, action pics saturday!

go to your local yamaha dealer and as them for the yfz450 electrical update, its some kind of little plug, and it'll punch a good hole is 20 bucks, plug that in and your problems are cured...
