My friend has a 2002 Warrior, somewhere around 2002-2003, and when he tries to start it, it goes CLANK CLANK CLANK, like a really weak starter but with a clank noise, is this normal, or does he need a new starter?

It starts up fine, just makes an odd noise.

Try the battery
either charge up the battery or get a new one

What did yours sound like when you started it? Like any other ATV or a clank?

clank clank sound only happens to me when to battery is really weak.
