Anyone know what the preds 500 frame weight is stripped with out the sub frame?

I never put mine on the scale, but it felt 35 - 45 pounds.

lifting them in the oven damn near gives me a hernia

id say they are 50 pounds easily! a 400ex frame is around 26, 450R around 28

so pretty much your saying that our frames are fat.... lol... along with our engines which weigh a ton....

i dont know about 50 pounds though, my friend had his torn down and i didnt think it weighed more than maybe 35 pounds.

anyone have a def answer on this, seems most think its around 50lbs but some think its higher and lower?

I didn't actually weight mine, but online I found noted that the frame weighs 92 lbs. It is heavy as a mo fo though.

Mitch, is the sub frame still on it? I cant find a def answer on this anywhere, I dont think the frame is all that heavy, but I think the size of it makes it seem heavier. I am heading over to the dealer to get my flywheel pulled, maybe one of them can give me answer.

I only have so much to work with to get a frame and plastics so this is why I want to make sure I can find the cheapest way to ship it.

Do you have a DHL place near you? Sometimes there cheaper than UPS

I've carried around a stripped frame and, it is no where close to 90 lbs.....closer to 45-50 lbs...

I never thought it was that much, felt about the same as my old 300ex motor. 100 ~ 110ish

I just threw my old bent frame on the scale and it showed 32 ~ 34.
