ok i got the normal left foot in the bar/right foot on the brake wheelie down pretty good.i can somewhat steer it while doing a wheelie.im starting to get good with 1 handed wheelies but how the heck do you do it with no hands and keep it up?i would imagine you gotta crank the idle up a little but how much?but i still suck at doing the sit down wheelies.

and this is on a 400EX.

IMPOSSIBLE

gotta have da thumb on the accelarator to be going anywher....
im still tryin to do a wheelie and finding da balancing point....

Raising the bs flag

You can do no handed wheelies,

the way i've been able to do it is left foot on teh grab bar, right foot on the peg.

get your balance point and use your left foot to push down on the quad and keep your balance and simply let go. i wouldn't recommend goin very fast while doin this but i'd pratice at slower speeds

If you start your quad on level ground and put it in first gear, then let out the clutch slowly(no throttle) you will go. I do it all the time. So you CAN go without using the throttle.

never thought of it that way......

might have to try it some time.........

cool.......

a yfz to me is a difficult machine to learn how to do wheelies on they have such a narrow balance point. a yfz is more of a get it up and shift threw the gears type wheelie machine to me

EH, i agree w/ you and i dont agree w/ you. it DOES have a short balance point for sure. but i never shift gears unless im doing a sitdown. other than that i stay in either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. 3rd just for seatstanders and faster foot in bars, 4th is FUN for foot in bar coasters!!!! but yeah, very short b/p. but its not all that hard to stunt once you've practiced w/ it enough. takes some getting used to i guess

very true, i love doin stand up wheelies in the yfz though i do them down the street in front of my house all the time start in first and get up threw the gears i love it..............

I'm wanting to try were they stand it up and put there hands down on the ground, when I get my broke in I think I might go for.

Here you go guys...an example.

Yes, it's all about the back brake. Some quads work better than others.

teres another way 2 doin a no hanede wheelies 4 me its esayer u get a rope and wrap it around the middle of ur frame and ur legs and den put ur idle very high i dont now about bigger bik idles but i put it very high on my 250ex and after that just use the foot brake theres also another way if u dont have heel guards u put ur feet under ur foot pegs but u dont have no brake accsess so it more dangerous peace

Most of the time when I am doing my no handed wheelies, I am coasting or running on idle and balance point with my rear brakes.

you make that quad look tiny

Posted by: eaheer

I don't know why, I am only 225 pounds 6'1... HEHE but it is a nice picture though.
