Help rear brake problem

I was riding the other day and went to use the rear brakes and the pedal just got stuck down, wont spring back up. You literally have to force it back in the up position. I went home and changed my pads, which were really worn but no change...any ideas? would bleeding help?

sounds to me like the problem is in the pedal its self not the brakes. it was not a great design they had for the rear brakes ive seen a couple of them freeze up. you just need to remove the whole brake pedal, clean up the surfaces and put some grease in there
